Motor traffic

For motor traffic, you can go over the rails via Sorinsilta or Lapintie or under the rails via Itsenäisyydenkatu underpass. The Erkkilänsilta bridge is is closed to motor traffic and will reopen in August of 2026.

Rerouting on Ratapihankatu

During April, tracks 7 and 8 on the passenger railway yard will be removed and replaced with a temporary roadway onto which traffic will be rerouted for the duration of the construction work. With the exception of a few work phases, Ratapihankatu will remain open to traffic throughout the project. The bridge section of Ratapihankatu will be completed by the summer of 2026.

Pick-up and drop-off traffic: 15 minutes of free parking at P-Noutoparkki

P-Noutoparkki will remain in use for passenger pick-up and drop-off traffic despite the construction work, and the facility has direct access to the Travel Centre tunnel, the station building and the station platforms. The entrance to P-Noutoparkki is located on Pakkahuoneenaukio and uses the same ramp as P-Hämppi and P-Tullintori. For the duration of the construction work, the ramp is accessed via a temporary roundabout.
